How to enter / entry fees

General Information

We encourage online entries as it saves a lot of admin time (and ensure that we don’t have trouble with hand-writing).

We require payment prior to event day and in the interest of a ‘smart’ event where processes are streamlined and efficient, we have a few rules for all entries so please make sure you read all the detailed information below.

Entry Fees

The basic entry fees are as follows (note there are discounted rates documented below):

Entering before the event weekend

Via Credit Card

  • To pay by Visa or Mastercard, click on the Enter above
  • Complete all questions online
  • When you arrive at the payment page, choose Credit card option
  • Credit card details will be requested and Payment will be made
  • An e-Ticket & e-Receipt will be emailed to you as confirmation of entry

Via Bank Transfer

  • To pay by Bank transfer, click on the Enter button above
  • Complete all of the questions online
  • When you arrive at the payment page, choose the Pay by ‘Bank transfer or Postal Entry’ option
  • Copy the supplied bank account details that appear for the Fedude Sports Bank account
  • then transfer funds to Fedude Sports Bank account,
  • please include your reference number and surname as part of the details (as our telepathy machine is currently broken). THANK YOU

Via Post & Cheque

  • To pay by cheque, click on the Enter button above
  • Complete all of the questions online
  • When you arrive at the payment page, choose the Pay by ‘Bank transfer or Postal Entry’ option
  • Send your cheque to Mountain to Surf, Fedude Sports, PO Box 24484, Manners St, Wellington 6142, NEW ZEALAND (please make your cheque payable to Fedude Sports)
  • please include your reference number and surname on the back of the cheque (as our telepathy machine is currently broken). THANK YOU

 

Entering on the event weekend

Completing a ‘Late Entry’ at Registration (space dependent)

Late entries at Registration are at the late entry fee rate

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Late entries spots at registration are not guaranteed. The event could have already reached capacity and therefore entries will be closed prior. Please check our website for updates. To be safe, we encourage early entries.
  • Late entries are available on a first come first served basis at registrations
  • There are absolutely no late entries available on the event morning. You will be ever so nicely ‘declined’ (registration the day before is the last chance to enter, space permitting).

Additional registration Notes

  • Online entries close at 11:59pm on the Thursday before the event, but
  • From 11:59pm on the Sunday before the event the late fee applies to all entry options
  • If you are posting a cheque in for payment it must be received  no later than the Tuesday before the event date
  • The fields may sell out before the close off times stated above, to ensure your place we encourage you to enter early

Refund Policies

The participant hereby agrees that in the event of a race cancellation or modification due to storm, rain, inclement seas or weather, winds or other “Acts of God” conditions, their entry fee shall be non-refundable.\

Refund Policy for Event Entry

In case of injury or illness only, you can request a refund in writing up to 6pm Friday 22nd February 2013. Your entry fee will be refunded less $15 admin fee (an email will suffice for a written request). After
this date no refunds will be given

Transferring entries between people

Participants are not allowed to transfer their entry to another
person.
If anyone is found racing under another persons name, both parties will banned from participating in any further Mountain to Surf events.
This is an important Health and Safety issue. No exceptions

Possible event cancellation

Should the event be canceled or modified due to dangerous weather conditions (as determined by the Race Director) no refunds will be given. This decision is at the complete discretion of the Race Director and is made in the best interest of all participants health and safety. We thank you in advance for your understanding.

 

Minimum & Maximum Ages

We have a minimum age requirement for each of the event options. This is in place due to Health & Safety reasons and must be adhered to by all participants. Anyone found not adhering to the age restrictions will not be invited to participate in future events.

The minimum age varies depending on the course distance, and are as follows:

  • For the Marathon the minimum age of all participants is 18 years old (as at the event date)
  • For the Half Marathon and the Marathon Relay Teams the minimum age of all participants is 16 years old (as at the event date)
  • For the 10k the minimum age of all participants is 14 years old (as at the event date)
  • For the Kids event (approximately 2.2k) the minimum age of all participants is 5 years old, and the maximum age of all participants is 14 years old (as at the event date)
